SoDak Senators is a two-day mock legislative experience where South Dakota high schoolers write and debate their own legislation at the State Capitol in Pierre. South Dakota legislators provide testimony while the high schoolers debate and pass bills. All are welcome.

About the event
Learn about the legislative process at the State Capitol and debate with real State Senators and Representatives at SoDak Senators on April 18 & 19, 2026.
Gain legislative experience, hear from elected officials, and debate bills on the floor. All high schoolers are encouraged to come! If you want to attend, please complete this form no later than March 14, 2025. Then, join us at the State Capitol in Pierre starting at 10 am on Saturday, April 18th and finishing on Sunday, April 19th at 4 pm. Hotel and meals will be provided.
